Meeting with RB
2009-09-21

i cried yesterday.
issues concerning communication with my parents. but it has been settled.
..i'd like to think that it was to do with the large amount of work that i put together in a short time in preperation for meeting Richard - maybe i liked to have seen it more recognized by my parents.
but yes, i have been more clear to dad in my conversations on what i dont want to keep hearing. and i hope our conversations would be improved :)

met RB today, after all my question preps. I realise one thing: RB is a man of few words - if i hadnt took the initiative to prepare anything; there would be nothing to say, and i would have been left with only a "green light" + form of approval. I guess, I like him as a teacher, because he is a Real teacher. Without prove of work/substance, he wouldn't give excessively to you (and that is the way university teaching is supposed to be, isn't it?). It was good to have him look through what I had produced and thought of, and getting the green light to do more hard work in developing a research proposal for my question.
I also have YS to thank for, for providing me a broad framework to start my thoughts on my IRP topic. So, yes, thank you YS. thank you.

Finalized/Confirmed Question:
"How does FFS build the capacity of its students? Does this coincide with the way knowledge is transferred within their communities?"

Also sent RB the travel dates/itinerary for insurance travel issues.
And am about to (hopefully) get the approval from Ben McDonald, so i can get the course code and rego for summer.

Have to keep Kien and YS informed. Will further elaborate on my dQ before i send them an email.

Nat
